Whisky

Uisge beatha (literally "water of life") or Scotch whisky, often simply called “Scotch,” is one of Scotland’s most renowned exports and a cornerstone of our cultural heritage. Made exclusively in Scotland, Scotch whisky is crafted from malted barley or grain and aged in oak barrels for at least three years, often much longer. It is celebrated for its diverse flavours, which range from the smoky and peaty profiles of Islay whiskies to the smooth, fruity notes of Speyside varieties. Protected by strict regulations under the Scotch Whisky Act, it is a product of meticulous craftsmanship and natural elements unique to Scotland, including its water and climate. Enjoyed neat, with water, or in cocktails, Scotch whisky embodies the spirit of tradition, craftsmanship, and the rugged beauty of the Scottish landscape.
